About This Project
Kissimmee Lakefront Park hosts a number of GSI examples that are in place to reduce stormwater runoff and protect the water quality of Lake Tohopekaliga. Retention basins, native plants, and native trees are in place to improve the uptake and drainage of stormwater. The City of Kissimmee has also recently installed rain gardens at the park complete with native trees, grasses, and other vegetation.
