About This Project
Kenneth R Hammons Park is a public park in Panama City that is designed to improve water quality and provide a recreational area for residents. This stormwater retrofit project capture stormwater from a 200-acre drainage basin and prevents urban stormwater runoff from entering Lake Caroline and St. Andrew Bay. This park was completed using Deepwater Horizon oil spill restoration funding that was distributed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
